Save the date for our 45th!
We are planning a lively and informative Fun Day / Open Day open to all on Saturday 15 June at Yalding. We hope that many supporters, ex-residents and referrers will join staff, volunteers, trustees and current residents for a great day. Tours of the facilities and service information will be available for referrers and supporters alike. More information will be posted in due course.
45th Evensong Service at Rochester Cathedral
There will be a special service at Rochester Cathedral to mark Kenward’s 45th anniversary. This will take place on Saturday 27th July at 3.15pm. Why not come along and join in the celebration?

22 April 2013 – Kent charity celebrates 45 years of transformation …now with goats!
As part of our continued commitment to innovation, goats are coming to our Yalding site in the next few weeks. Men on the treatment programme at Kenward House will learn how to tend them, as part of their recovery programme. The goats will also be available for walks at our Fun Day on 15 June!
10 Dec 2012 – Bishop celebrates Kenward’s 45th Christmas.
The Carol Service which the charity held on Saturday 8th December marked the 45th Christmas since it first opened its doors to people with desperate drink and drug problems.
16 Nov 2012 – Let’s talk about booze!
Alcohol Awareness Week begins on 19th November, and this year’s bold theme is “It’s time to talk about drinking” – a message which Kent charity the Kenward Trust has already taken to heart.
20 Sep 2012 – Jonathan Neame visits Kenward Trust
Jonathan Neame – Chief Executive of Kentish brewer Shepherd Neame – visited the Yalding-based charity Kenward Trust yesterday. Nothing unusual in that, you might think, except that the charity exists to help people suffering from addiction to drink and drugs!
7 Sep 2012 – Kenward Trust summoned by Parliament
The Chief Executive of nationally-renowned, Kent-based charity Kenward Trust has been invited to speak at the Home Affairs Committee on drugs policy, on Monday 10 September at the House of Commons.
3 Sep 2012 – High Sheriff praises “courage and honesty”
Michael Bax, High Sheriff of Kent, took time out of his busy schedule to visit the nationally-renowned rehabilitation charity Kenward Trust. The High Sheriff met staff and residents at the Yalding projects, praising everyone for the “wonderful work” which is being done to help people recover from addiction.
24 July 2012 – “A new life, that’s what Kenward’s given me… Before Kenward it felt like I was in hell”
A new film about the work of the Kenward Trust has just been produced. At the heart of the film are the honest testimonies of several Kenward ‘graduates’ who explain how the charity helped them to battle terrible addictions to drink and drugs.
