Kent Charity Awards Finalist!
21st November 2017 /
We are very excited to share the news that the Kenward Trust has made it through to the finals of the Kent Charity Awards (Care category).
The aim of these awards is to showcase the hard work and perseverance that charities and voluntary groups undertake to make the lives of others better. There are currently no similar awards in the county and the Kent Charity Awards have become an important date in the third sector diaries. The charity awards are open to both small and large charities whether a branch of a national charity, a small community based charity or a voluntary group.
We were recently advised that our application, that was submitted last October, was successful and we welcomed the award Judges to Yalding for a visit on 24th January.
We will be attending the Awards Dinner in Maidstone on 16th March, when the winners will be announced!
David Philpott, Chief Executive at Kenward Trust said….
“For nearly 50 years the Kenward Trust has been providing residential rehabilitation services from our projects across the county as well as innovative education programmes in schools and more recently befriending services in Prisons. To have this kind of work, which is often seen as unglamorous when compared with other charities, recognised by this nomination, sends a very positive message to our many staff who work tirelessly in very challenging situations day in and day out. We are grateful to the award organisers for making it possible for us to showcase our services in this way”
