Kenward Trust is looking for a Chair of Trustees who is passionate about helping transform lives

What we are looking for?

We are looking for an innovative, forward-thinking individual to support our CEO in navigating The Trust through our ever-changing Drug and Alcohol treatment sector. We would need someone who can champion our cause and be passionate about helping us continue to transform lives.

What difference you will make?

Kenward Trust is a charity based in Yalding which provides support to those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime. Our work spans from sessions in schools delivering early education and interventions, through to residential rehabilitation and providing support to those resettling back into the community. All of our services centre upon enabling people to have the opportunity to change their lives and reach their full potential.

Last year we helped 69 individuals in our residential rehabilitation centre transform their lives away from their addictions, and create new futures for themselves in the community. We then supported 32 individuals in our Move On houses to help them find long term housing and employment whilst remaining in recovery and 14 homeless individuals access treatment for their addictions in the community. In addition to our residential services, Think Differently, our youth project working in schools provided education sessions to 9,378 at 36 different schools. Your role will help us to expand this and provide our support to more individuals through guiding our management team in finding innovative pathways and keeping up with an ever-changing sector.

What experience do you need?

We are looking for someone who has knowledge, skills and experience of at least one of the following at a senior level:

  • UK charity
  • Fundraising
  • Strategy
  • Legal

What is in it for you?

You will be helping transform the lives of those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime such as Les who has been through two of our services:

Additionally, you will be joining the Trust at an exciting time, as we are aiming to expand our Resettlement services and look at new ways we can start supporting new individuals. You will be joining a team of enthusiastic, passionate Trustees and managerial staff who are all striving to continue providing the best possible care for those who really need it and make a difference.
