    Education Project

Computers 4 Charity have kindly donated three computers and one laptop to enable this project to progress and add value to the programmes at Kenward Trust.

Kent charity Kenward Trust, who provides support to those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime,  are looking to re-develop their education programme to enable all of their residents to re-engage with education in a positive way and look towards becoming job-ready when they leave their services. To make this happen they required more computers for their Education Block and Computers 4 Charity came to their rescue.

Computers 4 Charity have kindly donated three computers and one laptop to enable this project to progress and add value to the programmes at Kenward Trust.  Computers 4 Charity, a working name of Digital Pipeline, is a charity that offers free data wiping, minimal environmental impact and maximum community benefit, helping - young carers, the homeless, hospices, charity volunteers, unemployed veterans and UK charities supporting schools in Africa

Since they opened their doors in Yalding, in 1968 Kenward Trust has helped over 10,000 individuals transform their lives and create new futures for themselves, away from their addictions. The extension to the programme is working to re-develop resident’s interest in education to enable them towards becoming job-ready when they leave.

Penny Williams, CEO of Kenward Trust says:

“We are so incredibly grateful to Computers 4 Charity for the donation of the 4 computers and a laptop, this will make a huge impact in the development of our education providing, both for our staff and for our residents. We are really passionate about this project and feel it can make a real difference in empowering the individuals who use our services to get them ready for the workplace and boost their self-confidence and self-esteem.”

George Cook, Honorary Chief Executive of Computers 4 Charity says:

“Kenward Trust is close to our hearts. We share the vision of helping the homeless and providing steps out of addiction. We would love to give more computers but are limited by how many are donated to us. If anyone or organisation with surplus IT equipment wants data wiping, everything re-used or recycled and be used for good causes like Kenward Trust - please talk to us.”
