    Kenward's Christmas Auction

Help us transform a life this Christmas by donating a prize to our auction.

Would you like to help transform a life this Christmas?

At Kenward Trust, we are a charity based in Kent which provides support to those affected by addiction, homelessness and crime. This Christmas, we would love to be able to create a new outdoor therapy area for our residents, but to be able to achieve this we will need your help!

Alcohol misuse is estimated to cost the NHS £3.5 billion per year, with figures showing that there were around 3,600 admissions a day related to alcohol last year. However, funding for specialist drug and alcohol treatment has been gradually declining since 2012/13, which means continuing to provide our complex breadth of services, and updating our facilities is becoming increasingly challenging.

Our work centres upon giving people the opportunity to change their lives and reach their full potential, and with a success ratio of 73% our work is successful for the vast majority of those who access it.

Research has shown that spending time in nature can improve your short term memory, reduce stress and increase happiness, but we feel that it also brings a different dimension to our therapeutic work. We find our residents that being outside can evoke different responses, and give them greater freedom to express themselves, which can be deeply beneficial to them on their recovery journey.

We are hosting an auction to hopefully raise £5,000 to go towards creating a new outdoor therapy area which can be used for residents of our addiction rehabilitation centre, but also through our new Day Treatment Programme.

So this is where you come in...

Kenward's Christmas Auction is taking place from Friday 27th November from 11am until 2nd December at 8pm. Including exciting prizes such as a flight for 2 in a Cessna, through to a Security System worth over £600!
