Donate to support one of our residents of Kenward Trust climb Ben Nevis!
A resident of Kenward Trust has pledged to climb Ben Nevis to raise worthwhile funds for the charity which provides support to those affected by addiction, homelessness, and crime.
Cullum, who has been a resident of Kenward’s Resettlement Project for 6 months, started walking 5k a day when he first joined Kenward Lodge. Since then, he has been challenging himself more as he goes further into his recovery journey and felt that this would be a perfect way to give back to the Trust
“Walking gave me the ability to think more clearly and I started getting a bit of me back every day. I really like walking and like challenging myself as it doesn’t stop me in my tracks. Kenward is still a big part of my life today. I want to show some appreciation as a token of where I am today. What Kenward has given me has changed my life. I am now six months sober, my life is great and it gets better every day and none of that would have been possible without starting at Kenward.”
Kenward Trust’s Resettlement Project includes Kenward Lodge which provides support to those who have drug or alcohol addiction issues and don’t have accommodation that would be conducive to their recovery and Move On properties across Kent and East Sussex. Kenward’s Move On properties provide a safe place to call home for those trying to work on their addiction recovery in the community, with support from our team whilst our residents find longer-term accommodation and explore employment opportunities.
Penny Williams, CEO said:
“We are so appreciative that Cullum has decided to fundraise for Kenward Trust. The pandemic has made a significant impact on our work and our ability to fundraise, so any fundraising initiatives such as this make a huge difference in allowing us to continue our life-changing services for those affected by addiction, homelessness, and crime.”
