£19,045 Three Peaks Fundraising Challenge - can we make it to £20k?

Pioneer Chapter of BNI, Maidstone, navigated 3 Peaks in Scotland, Lake District and Wales….. 24 hours of walking and climbing day and night. An amazing achievement of raising nearly twenty thousand pounds for Kent’s leading alcohol and drug rehabilitation centre Kenward Trust.

A team of 25 ambitious walkers (including 9 BNI members, 8 Health Hut Nutrition Club Maidstone and

8 Friends and supporters) set themselves a target for training and completing the incredible 3 Peaks Challenge, last weekend 20th -21st May, raising funds for The Kenward Trust, Kent’s leading alcohol and drugs rehabilitation centre based in Yalding.

Quotes from participants: “In my job far too often I’ve seen the other side of addiction and the ripple effect it has on the person suffering and those around them. Linked with addiction often comes homelessness and mental health. As someone who’s struggled at times myself with mental health and losing a close family member to suicide it only highlights even more the need for hidden gems like Kenward.” - Katie Walsh

“I believe that everyone deserves a second chance in life and I’m hoping the money raised by completing this challenge can help towards those that are struggling with addiction and homelessness.” - Annie

“Substance abuse is still a taboo topic, one that is brushed under carpet, often  hidden and treated with embarrassment until it can't be denied any more… I wanted to shine a light on it, for people to know there is help out there and to give hope to those battling in the dark.” - Georgie Copeman

The team are sponsored by Health Hut Nutrition Club Maidstone, Core the Gym, Maidstone, We Do Social Media, Miss MPS (Virtual Assistance and Business Support).
