Former resident takes on the Three Peaks Challenge in fundraising effort

One of our former residents, Cullum, has decided to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge, in a bid to raise money for Kenward Trust. In October 2021, he climbed Ben Nevis and raised an incredible £2,320 for Kenward.

Here is what Cullum had to say about this latest fundraising endeavour:

I was a resident of Kenwards Resettlement service which provides supported accommodation to help those with addiction issues begin their recovery journey. Kenward Trust has had a profound impact on my life and I would love to show them my appreciation by taking part in this challenge. I am very proud to be over 2 years clean and sober and living a healthy, peaceful and content life; all thanks to the support and help from Kenward Trust. They help to transform lives and support individuals recover and gain the vital tools necessary to manage the illness of addiction.

I have a real passion for keeping active and started walking 5k a day whilst living in Kenwards Lodge project and found that walking grounds me and gives me the ability to think more clearly. As I walked each day I began to get a part of me back again and havent stopped training and pushing myself since. I love challenging myself, so when I was presented with this new challenge and to be part of something bigger than my fundraiser in 2021, it felt like a great way to give back to the Trust.

I will be starting the climb on May 20th 2023. If you could donate anything at all, I would really appreciate it. The money will go directly towards helping other individuals who may be struggling with addiction issues, so they can receive support like I have, through Kenward Trust.

Cullum is part of a group attempting the Challenge together in May, and the event is being sponsored by Kenward Trust, The Health Hut, Core the Gym, We Do Social Media and Miss MPS.

If you would like to sponsor Cullum, please visit his JustGiving page.

Thank you.
