It’s a Knockout Fundraiser - Ladies Boxing Match raises over £800 for Kenward Trust

Awarded Georgie with partner Adel Murphy

Georgie Copeman represented BNI Pioneer Chapter, who smashed her way to a final knockout, raising £820 for Kenward Trust in her first ever public boxing match.

The Women's Charity Boxing Match, Detling Hill, Maidstone was run by Darren Tanser and coaches. All proceeds after the show is paid for goes to Cancer Research. However, each fighter is allowed to raise money for their own charity too and Georgie Copeman chose Kenward Trust.

Georgie Copeman says: "It was a great experience and I loved the training. To have the opportunity to try something new as well as raising money for the Kenward Trust was something I am proud to say I did.

Many people think that if you are dealing with substance dependency that it is a simple choice to just stop - that's sadly not the case. Kenward Trust helps support people and their loved ones to look towards a brighter future - one that is filled with possibilities. If I can help give a person and their family hope, then that's good enough for me.

I am looking forward to my next challenge which is to walk the Three Peaks in 24 hours for Kenward Trust with a few other friends - the target is to raise £10k so watch this space and make sure you follow our progress!"

Penny Williams, CEO of Kenward Trust, has been a member of Pioneer Chapter of BNI for 2 years. We are bowled over by the level of support from BNI, we have so many key projects and rely wholly on funding and fundraising events such as this…. We really do appreciate and thank BNI for their ongoing work and fundraising for Kenward.”
